In this humorous documentary, Danielson and Aertryck show the rise of image culture from the birth of the camera to the first moving picture, from the invention of the webcam to the first viral video. Turning their cameras directly on society, they explore how our uncontrolled obsession with images is changing our human behavior. They question what the consequences of being exposed to billions of images competing for our attention might be. They present the contradictions of visual culture in the modern age in a way that is both funny and thought provoking.
Axel Danielson
Axel Danielson 1976 yılında İsveç'in Vittskövle kentinde doğdu. Mezuniyet filmi Sommarlek 2005 yılında uluslararası ödüller kazandı. 2012'den beri Göteborg Üniversitesi Valand Akademisi'nde Sinema yüksek lisans programında ders vermektedir. 2005 yılından beri Plattform Produktion adlı yapım şirketinin bir parçasıdır ve 2012 yılından beri Ruben Östlund ile birlikte şirketin ortak sahibidir. Yönetmen ve yapımcı olarak Maximilien Van Aertryck ile birlikte çalışan Danielson'ın filmleri Berlinale, Cannes, Toronto, Sundance ve daha birçok yarışmada yer aldı.
Maximilien Van Aertryck
Maximilien Van Aertryck 1989 yılında Paris'te doğdu. Fransız-Alman-İsveçli bir film yapımcısıdır. Göteborg'da film okulundayken Axel Danielson ile tanışan ikili, aralarında ortak bir sinema dili buldu ve 2013 yılında birlikte film yapmaya başladı. Plattform Produktion şirketine katıldı.
Axel Danielson
Axel Danielson was born in 1976 in Vittskövle, Sweden. His graduation film Sommarlek won international prizes in 2005. Since 2012 He has been teaching at the master program Cinematic Processes at Valand Academy, Göteborg University. He has been part of the production company Plattform Produktion since 2005, and is co-owner of the company since 2012, together with Ruben Östlund. He is director and producer and works closely with Maximilien Van Aertryck and their work has been represented in the competitions of Berlinale, Cannes, Toronto, Sundance and more.
Maximilien Van Aertryck
Maximilien Van Aertryck was born in 1989 in Paris. He is a French-German-Swedish filmmaker. After meeting Axel Danielson while at film school in Gothenburg, the two found a common film language between them and started making films together in 2013. He joined Ruben Östlund’s Plattform Produktion.
