Gasman, Alman sanat dünyasının hicviyle harmanlanmış güçlü bir siyasi drama. Film, kara mizahtan yararlanarak seyircinin zayıf ve muhtaç kişileri seyyar gaz odalarında yok etmek üzere toplayan iki SS subayı hakkında bir oyunda rol yapmaya çalışırken kendiyle mücadele eden bir aktöre tanıklık etmesini sağlıyor. Film, Kahire FF ve Shanghai UFF gibi festivallerde gösterilmiş olmanın yanı sıra Paris’teki 2020 Avrupa Filmleri Festivalinde En İyi Film Ödülüne aday gösterildi.
Gasman is a powerful political drama, mixed with a satire of the German art scene. The film utilizes black humor as it lets the audience witness an actor struggling with his inner soul while trying to act in a play about two SS officers who collect weak and needy people to be destroyed in the mobile gas chambers, hence the name of the film. Aside from being screened at several film festivals like the Cairo FF and the Shanghai IFF, the film was nominated for the Best Feature Film at the 2020 Festival of European Films in Paris.
