Yıl 9177 ya da onun gibi bir şey. Dünyadan geriye kalan bir Temsili Bina ve yoksul kesiminde yaşayan işsiz, aç insanlar. Mümkün olan en iyi dünyanın bu olduğu konusunda megafondan gece gündüz yayın yapılacak beyinleri yıkanıyor. Dünya Binası toplumun elitleri tarafından işgal edilmişken kentin eteklerinde evrenin talihsizleri silsile olmuş. Bu talihsizlerden biri, başka bir dünyanın mümkün olduğuna karar verip Temsil Binası’nda çok lezzetli ev yapımı limonata satarak kurtarıcılığa soyunuyor. Böylelikle de Beethoven onuruna Dokuzuncu Dünya Savaşı denebilecek kavgayı başlatmış oluyor.
In the year 9177 or so, the whole world has been reduced to just one Representative Building and the filthy outskirts around it inhabited by all of the unemployed and starving people in the cosmos, who are pestered day and night by a tiresome megaphone which seeks to convince them that they live in the best of all possible worlds. While the World Building is occupied by the elite of the society and the living forces of it, in the outskirts live all of the other unfortunates of the universe, one of whom decides that another world is possible and becomes a saviour by selling a very tasty homemade lemonade in the Representative Building. He thereby begins what might be called the Ninth World War in honour of Beethoven.
