1920’lerde geçen Avusturalyalı kovboy filmi, adaletin kendisinin bile yargılandığı bir yerde, yaşlı Aborjin bir çiftçinin nefsi müdafaa için beyaz bir adamı vurup kaçmasının hikayesini anlatıyor. 1920’lerin ırkçılık sorununu çağdaş bir bakış açısıyla sunan film, Venedik FF’de prömiyerini yaptıktan sonra Busan, Sundance gibi birçok festivalde de gösterim şansı elde etmişti.

English Version

The Australian western film which tells the story of an old Aboriginal farmer who shot a white man in self-defence in a place where justice itself is even judged during 1920’s. The film, which presents the 1920s issue of racism with a contemporary perspective, had a chance to be screened at many festivals such as Busan and Sundance after having premiere in Venice FF.

WARWICK THORNTON

Avustralya Film, Televizyon ve Radyo Okulunu sinematograf olarak bitirdikten sonra kariyerine kısa filmler çekerek devam etti. Kısa filmlerinin çoğunu Berlin UFF gibi festivallerde gösterilen yönetmen, 2009 yılında Cannes FF’de Camera d’Or’u da
kazandı.

English Version

After graduating Australian Film, Television and Radio School as a cinematographer, he continued his career making short films. While having most his short films screened at festivals like Berlin IFF, the director also won Camera d’Or at Cannes Film Festival in 2009.
