Led Zeppelin’den Ray Charles’a, Aretha Franklinden AC/DC’ye uzanan devasa bir kariyer ve kariyerinin kaynağı olan, kendi kurduğu şirketi, Atlantic Records. Ahmet Ertegün müzik piyasasına sayısız ismi katmış ve tarihe damgasını vurmuş bir isimdir. Plak şirketi olan Atlantic Records ile hayatının sonuna kadar ilgilenmiş ve hayatının büyük bir kısmını Amerika’da geçirmiştir. 2006 yılında bir konserde geçirdiği kaza sonucu hayatını kaybetti. Müzik dünyasına bu kadar fazla müzisyeni ve müziği kazandırmış bir isim olan Ertegün’den esinlenerek ölüm yıl dönümü olan 14 Aralık’ta Türk Amerikan Derneği ve Pulsar’ın iş birliği ile genç ve yetenekli müzisyenlere el uzatıp Çağlar Coşkun, TST Quintet, Kayıtsız ve Emre Nalbantoğlu eşliğinde Atlantic Records parçaları ile Ertegün’ü anacağız.
From Led Zeppelin to Ray Charles, from Aretha Franklinden to AC/DC, a huge career and the source of his career, the company he founded himself, Atlantic Records. Ahmet Ertegün is a name that has contributed countless names to the music market and left his mark on history. He was devoted to his record company Atlantic Records until the end of his life and spent most of his life in America. In 2006, he died as a result of an accident at a concert. Inspired by Ertegün, a name that has brought so many musicians and music to the music world, we will commemorate Ertegün with Atlantic Records tracks accompanied by Çağlar Coşkun, TST Quintet, Kayıtsız and Emre Nalbantoğlu by reaching out to young and talented musicians with the cooperation of the Turkish American Association and Pulsar on 14 December, the anniversary of his death.
