        Tugfo İstanbul Concert

        The Turkish Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, established by Cem Mansur in 2007 with the support of Sabancı Foundation, as the first of its kind in the country, will meet music lovers at the Atatürk Cultural Centre with a colorful program.

        The program includes "Görünmez Olanın İmgesi" (Image of the Invisible) composed by young composer Ege Gür upon the commission of Tugfo (In Memory of Earthquake Victims), Piano Concerto No. 2 by Rachmaninoff, whose 150th birthday is celebrated this year, Mendelssohn-Bartholdy's A Midsummer Night's Dream incidental music, and Sibelius' Finlandia. The soloist for the concert is pianist Başar Can Kıvrak.

        Gala Concerts - Fayha Choir - Taıpeı Philharmonic Chamber Choir - Leioa Kantika Korala

        The concerts continue without pacing down on the fourth night of the World Symposium on Choral Music. Tonight the audience meets Fayha Choir from Lebanon, Taipei Philharmonic Chamber Choir from Chinese Taipei , and the children’s choir from Spain, Leioa Kantika Korala.

        Founded in 2003, Fayha Choir conducted by Barkev Taslakian, will bring the traditional pieces from Arabic Choral Music to their listeners.

        Established in 1993 and having participated in various festivals since then, Taipei Philharmonic Chamber Choir conducted by Yu-Chung Johnny Ku will perform their selection from not only traditional but also contemporary Asian Choral Music.

        Founded in 2000 with the motivation to promote choral music among the youth, Leioa Kantika Korala conducted by Basilio Astulez Duque, will share their colorful repertoire with the audience.
