Transcendence in the Milennial Sufî Tradition
The Turkish word for fate, "devran," was derived from the Arabic verb "dâra." It means rotating, turning around, and the flow of blood within veins. Devran, as a kind of dhikr, is a tradition that sees people, in the midst of a rite, hold hands, or put their hands on one another's shoulder as they form a halachah standing behind and or next to one another, and then turn around. The Sheikh manages the dkihr in the meanwhile. The companions who perform the dhikr during their visitos are known as "devrâni." All halvetis, mevlevis, bayramis, and Anatolian kadiris compose the companions who perform devrani dhikr. The community whose art director will be Yüce Gümüş, the postnishin will be Fatih Çıtlak.
