Charles Lloyd, Pharoah Sanders ve 1960’ların Hippi hareketi etkisiyle daha özgür akustik cazdan esinlenen, Eylül ayında çıkan “Heaven on My Mind” albümü ile Yuri Honing Acoustic Quartet, 27. Hollanda’nın en önemli saksofon sanatçılarından olan, Pat Metheny, Paul Bley, Craig Taborn, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Charlie Haden, Paul Motion ve birçok farklı sanatçıyla çalışmış, otuz yılı aşkın müzik kariyeriyle Triple Edison ödüllü Yuri Honing, 90 farklı ülkede verdiği konserler ve neredeyse 50’yi aşan diskografisi ile müzik kariyerine devam ediyor.
Bu proje, Kültür ve Turizm Bakanlığı katkıları ile hazırlanmıştır.
Yuri Honing Acoustic Quartet, inspired by Charles Lloyd, Pharoah Sanders and freer acoustic jazz influenced by the hippie movement of the 1960s, with its album "Heaven on My Mind" released in September, will take the stage at the 27th International Ankara Jazz Festival. Yuri Honing, one of the most important saxophone artists of the Netherlands, who has worked with Pat Metheny, Paul Bley, Craig Taborn, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Charlie Haden, Paul Motion and many other artists, with a music career spanning over thirty years, continues his music career with concerts in 90 different countries and a discography of almost 50 albums.
