City-Jungle İDOB
CITY JUNGLE, a performance for all ages, has touched the very souls of many young people ever since 2002, and it will be staged at the Atatürk Cultural Center by the Modern Dance Ensemble of Istanbul, a project group that work under the body of the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet.
CITY JUNGLE, the social responsibility project of the State Opera and Ballet, has now, in consideration of the subjects it deals with, perhaps, gained more importance in light of the fire disasters both our country and the world have had to face this summer.
The City Jungle is an adaptation of the world-famous Jungle Book for stage in a novel modern dance drama form by the choreographer Beyhan Murphy. The work engages with issues that concern closely the public such as the situation of the young generations, the environment, forests, and endangered animals, in an entertaining yet a thought-provoking manner.
The work, in which two songs composed specifically for the play by Athena and Manga as a contribution will be performed, has its original music by Rahman Altın, and costumes by Serdar Başbuğ.
According to the updated information flow of the work, for which Alpaslan Karaduman is working as the consultant for the libretto, actor and presenter İbrahim Selim is to stage an alternative broadcast as the reporter of the “City-Jungle TV”.

NOTES ON AKM EVENTS
Changes and Refunds
Purchased tickets cannot be changed or refunded, except in case of cancellation of the event or change of date.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all events in AKM will be subject to specific rules. Everyone who buys a ticket will be assumed to have agreed to these rules and enforcements.
The student ticket is only valid with an available student ID. On the day of the event, the student's identity must be presented to the staff.
AKM Management reserves the right not to admit those who are considered unsuitable for the event by giving them refunds.
For Your Health
In accordance with the circular letter, “Mandatory PCR Test” dated 14.01.2022 issued by the Republic of Türkiye, Ministry of Internal Affairs, it has been decided on the advice of the Coronavirus Science Committee that, due to the recent course of the coronavirus pandemic and its effects on public health, it is no longer necessary to have PCR test scans prior to attending events such as concerts, cinema, or theatre.
It is mandatory to wear masks that cover your mouth and nose. Those who are detected to have taken off their masks will be warned, and those who disregard the warnings will be taken outside the facility.
During The Event
During the concert, recording with cameras, mobile phones, and other recording equipment is forbidden. Recording devices will not be allowed in the venues.
The events are suitable for participants aged 7 and over.
Once the event begins, no visitors will be allowed in the venue.
Venue Rules
It is required for visitors to arrive and be ready at the entrance 1 hour prior to the event.
The concert halls may change for reasons beyond control. AKM management is sure to change the seating layout, ensuring they assign the spectators a new seat in the changed venue that is closest to the prior ticket number. Purchased tickets will not be refunded due to the change of venue.
Guests are required to comply with the stated seating layout; they are obliged not to change their seats during the event.
It’s forbidden to enter the venues with food and beverages, consume tobacco or tobacco products or use e-cigarettes outside smoke-free areas.
