        1953 yapımı Beklenen Şarkı’nın başrollerini Zeki Müren ve Cahide Sonku paylaşıyor. Bir kadının yardımıyla şöhretli bir şarkıcı olan gencin öyküsünü anlatan film bir çok anlamda ilk olma özelliğini taşır. Cahide Sonku’nun yönetmenlerinden biri olduğu ve yapımcılığını üstlendiği film, aynı zamanda Zeki Müren'in ilk filmidir. Beklenen Şarkı ile şarkılı filmler dönemi tekrar başlamıştır. Aynı zamanda filme adını veren "Beklenen Şarkı", Zeki Müren'in vals formundaki nihavend bestesidir. Film, döneminde müthiş bir başarı kaydetmiştir.
