Enea is on the threshold of thirty, he has no job or life goal, and spends his days in hedonism and fun with his best friend Valentino. When he receives an offer from a local mafia boss to sell twenty kilos of cocaine, he accepts it out of sheer desire for a new adventure. He enters the underworld of drugs together with Valentino, while in the background of their gangster enterprise, the story of Enea's melancholic father, problematic brother, lonely mother and one special girl develops.

Young Italian director and screenwriter Pietro Castellitto skillfully combines tension with melancholy in an atypical gangster drama while depicting a world that is grandiosely marching towards decay. The film premiered at the Venice Film Festival.
