Described as a brutal self-denial film set in deepest Romania by The Guardian, 3 Kilometers to the End of the World is set in a conservative community in the Danube Delta, where a gay teenager's path to self-discovery comes into conflict with the traditional values held by his parents and neighbors.
Emanuel Parvu
1979'da Bükreş, Romanya'da doğan Emanuel Parvu, Romanyalı bir aktör ve yönetmendir. I. L Caragiale Ulusal Tiyatro ve Film Üniversitesi'nde oyunculuk eğitimi almıştır. İlk yönetmenlik denemesini 2009 yılında A Family adlı kısa filmiyle yapmadan önce bir süre aktör olarak çalıştı. Birkaç kısa film yönettikten sonra ilk uzun metrajlı filmi Meda or the Not So Bright Side of Things ile 2017'de Saraybosna Film Festivali'nde En İyi Yönetmen ödülünü kazanmıştır.
Born in Bucharest, Romania in 1979, Emanuel Parvu is a Romanian actor and director. He studied acting at the I. L Caragiale National University of Theatre and Film. He worked as an actor for some time before making his directorial debut with his short film A Family in 2009. After directing some shorts, in 2017 he won the Best Director award at the Sarajevo Film Festival for his debut feature, Meda or the Not So Bright Side of Things.
