        The Wedding Day film details

        A wedding is being prepared in a small village in northeastern Poland. Just before the celebration begins, two Israelis come to the bride's family home and give to her senile grandfather Antoni the 'Righteous Among the Nations' honor, for saving Jews from Holocaust during the World War II. Antoni's son doesn't receive the uninvited guests well, trying to hide them, and the honor they brought, for the other villagers. As the wedding day progresses, more and more details of Antoni's story are revealed… New film by the controversial Polish director Wojciech Smarzowski had its world premiere at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival. With croatian and english subtitles.
