'Kötü Bir Gün' is an unnerving black comedy about class conflict, authority, the search for freedom, our discomfort and our social codes.
Erdem, a psychologist who had to move into his grandfather's apartment after divorcing his wife, realises that only Yakup, the apartment caretaker, is staying in this small four-storey apartment he has never visited. Yakup comes to visit him the day after he moves in, informs him that the last tenant living upstairs committed suicide a few days ago and leaves. But immediately afterwards he comes back as a completely different person. Although Erdem realises that Yakup is behaving strangely from a psychologist's point of view, it takes time for him to realise that the situation is much more serious. Now the two men are somehow trapped in this apartment and a nerve-wracking confrontation about the dark history of the apartment begins between them.
