PLOT
Highly knowledgeable Ahmed Çelebi, whose heart had been fully locked in on the idea of flying over İstanbul, is a strange, hard-to-understand person from the 17th centuryi who followed the footprints of Cevheri, who let himself fly in the sweet and lovely air, having jumped out of Nişapur Mosque with a pair of door leaves, and studied the moves of the flying birds like Cevheri himself. His wife and bondmaid failed to make sense of this desire of him. Nor did the people around him. He continues to exchance opposing view with his nemesis Lagâri Hasan Çelebi, who shared his Ahmed’s wish to leave a trace behind. He was a person that was ready to sacrifice his self in order to experience the joy and fear of falling which could not be contained within the universe and the attractive feeling of soaring to the skies. His passion for flying, which becomes further serious as Sultan Murad IV hears of it, makes him continuously go between life and death. It is either that he’ll be able to fly or that the sun will rise on İstanbul, where he no longer lives…
