After losing their children in a plane crash, a family's only asset is their grandson. However, the grandfather, a traditionalist, cuts ties with his grandson after catching him stealing. Years later, the grandmother wishes to see her grandson for the last time before he leaves this life due to health problems. However, the grandfather does not know where his grandson is, so he applies to a wish-granting organization to find someone to play the role of the grandson in order to fulfill his wife's wish. The world of the grandmother, who accepts this game played on her without questioning and prefers to live in a lie to the bitter truth, will collapse with the appearance of the real grandson.In this play written in the aftermath of the Spanish Civil War, Casona emphasizes the need to take refuge in goodness even in a world of lies. A different version of the play, which was first staged by Macide Tanır at the State Theater in Turkey, was made into a movie starring Yıldız Kenter in the lead role.Nevra Serezli returned to the stage after 11 years with this play and won seven different awards.
