I have always kept this quote in the back of my mind; and time and life and the inevitable pace of change have brought Chaplin's need to make comedy to the present day in its most provocative form. A park, a policeman, a pretty girl; depending on the time and even the place, it becomes "EVERYONE". It becomes me, it becomes you, it becomes her. Chaplin's park, policeman and pretty girl are everything, everyone, just as Chaplin is "EVERYONE"...
Woman, Adam and Iskender are our "EVERYONE" to make comedy. Woman and Adam are about to divorce. They have been separated for about six months, struggling with the yoke of blind habit and the ebb and flow between distancing themselves from each other, running away from a love that is over, running away from a love that is over, and being afraid of rekindling it. Two days before their divorce, their favorite brother İskender, whom they had seen the most, who had witnessed their love and even acted as their wedding witness, died. The woman and the man are going to bury their brother Alexander; just one day before the divorce case. In our play, which takes place in a series of funerals and ceremonies, we watch 'Woman and Man' questioning their relationship, sometimes bickering, sometimes laughing.
