Speaking the truth is defined as speaking the truth despite the dominant or general opinion, which involves risk or danger when spoken. After working on fear, need, desire, privacy, violence, innocence, we brought these concepts to the stage through physical narratives and images.
We staged the first version of our play in the 2019 season, in which we questioned the requirements of being human in an age where defending the truth has become difficult but at the same time essential. The second edition, which we worked on while the residues of all the troubles that the world and we living beings have experienced in the intervening period are on us, is being staged this time with the collaboration of Echoes Sahne & Tiyatro Kast.
The starting point of our play, in which we scrutinize our age with text, light and bodies in an empty space, is Foucault's Parrhesia - Telling the Truth.
