Event Rules

Unnumbered tickets are sold at the theaters.

Viewers under the age of 18 will not be admitted to the theater. As the films shown at the festival are not classified, all films are suitable for an 18+ audience in accordance with the law. Our viewers may be asked to show their ID for age verification.

Recording with cameras, cameras, cell phones, etc. during the screening is prohibited by law. Recording devices will not be allowed in the theaters.

Latecomers will not be admitted to the theater, and tickets will not be refunded. We kindly request that you be in the theater 20 minutes before the start time of the screening.

There will be no intermission during the screenings.

Audience members who purchase student tickets will be asked to show valid student ID. Audience members who do not show valid student ID will be required to pay the difference in ticket price.

No food or beverages other than water are allowed in the auditoriums.

In the event of any technical issues with the subtitling system, the necessary measures will first be taken to resolve the problem. If the issue cannot be resolved quickly, the film will continue to be shown without subtitles.

Tickets that are not used on the day and time are invalid and it is not possible to refund and/or change the ticket price and service fee. No request can be made to Biletinial for the refund of tickets that are not used on the day and time.
If your ticket cannot be used for any reason other than force majeure or cancellation of the event, you can contact Biletinial up to 48 hours before the event time at the latest.
The organizing institutions and/or organizations have the right to change the seating arrangement and plan in the areas and/or concert halls where the concert will be held.
The user accepts that he/she complies with the age limit rules applicable to the event for the tickets purchased through Biletinial. For age limits, it will be mandatory to present ID at the event venue for the ticket purchased.
If there is a discounted ticket definition for the event and a ticket is purchased with the discounted ticket option, the User agrees and undertakes that he/she is subject to this discounted ticket. For discounted tickets, it will be mandatory to present the identity card at the event venue.
In case of late arrival at the event time, Biletinial is not responsible in any way for taking the user to the event venue.

Synopsis:

The Father, directed by Tereza Nvotova, which had its world premiere in the Horizons section of the Venice Film Festival and is Slovakia's nominee for this year's Oscars, is inspired by a true story set in Slovakia. The film focuses on the trial process of a man who loses his child by committing an unexplainable mistake, whose perfectly happy marriage is shaken, and who is on trial for a prison sentence. Struggling with the pain of his child and the guilt of conscience, the 'father' begins to question whether he has the right to live. With its 20 minute long shots, especially the court scene, the film creates an uninterrupted and distant connection between the audience and the main character's life.
