Şüphe, Haruki Murakami'nin Barn Burning isimli kısa öyküsünden uyarlanan ve Cannes'dan iki ödülle birden dönen Burning, yarı zamanlı kurye olarak çalışan Jongsu'nun, eski komşusu Haemi ile karşılaşması sonrası gelişen olayları konu ediniyor.

Yarı zamanlı kurye, arada sırada da yazar olan Jongsu bir teslimat sırasında eski komşusu olan Haemi'yle karşılaşır. Haemi genç adamdan, kendisi Afrika seyahatindeyken kedisine göz kulak olmasını rica eder. Seyahatten döndüğündeyse, Jongsu'yu Kenya'da rastladığı gizemli bir adam olan Ben'le tanıştırır. Bir gün Ben Jongsu'ya sahip olduğu tuhaf bir hobiden bahseder.
