Having ascended the throne for the second time upon the death of his father Murat II, Mehmet II's first priority is to annex Constantinople, the last territory of the Byzantine Empire, to the Ottoman Empire. The movie, which starts in 1451, when Mehmet the Conqueror, who led the Ottoman Empire to an empire, was still planning to take Istanbul, claims to be the biggest historical-heroic project ever filmed. The movie also includes Molla Gürani, the master who raised Mehmet the Conqueror, and the education process that Mehmet the Conqueror received as a child. The film, which also includes 3D animations, is directed by Faruk Aksoy, while Atilla Engin and İrfan Saruhan, who penned the script, are accompanied by a large team of advisors including Prof. Dr. Feridun Emecen, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hülya Tezcan, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gülgün Köroğlu and art historian Massimo Farinelli.
