Five years after the events of Jurassic World: Domination, the planet's ecology has proven largely unfavorable for dinosaurs. Those that remain persist in isolated equatorial environments with climates similar to those in which they once thrived. In this tropical biosphere, the three most gigantic creatures on land, sea and air harbor in their DNA the key to a drug that could provide miraculous life-saving benefits to humanity. Johansson stars as Zora Bennett, a talented covert operations specialist contracted to lead a skilled team on a top-secret mission to secure the genetic material. When Zora's operation intersects with a civilian family whose boat is capsized by stray aquatic dinosaurs, they all find themselves stranded on a forbidden island that once housed a secret research facility for Jurassic Park. There, in a landscape inhabited by dinosaurs of many different species, they come face to face with a sinister, shocking discovery that has been hidden from the world for decades.
