Hatayspor, 1967 yılında Antakya merkezli olarak kurulmuştur. Bordo-beyaz renklere sahip kulüp, uzun yıllar alt liglerde mücadele ettikten sonra 2019-2020 sezonunda TFF 1. Lig’i şampiyon tamamlayarak tarihinde ilk kez Süper Lig’e yükselmiştir. İlk Süper Lig sezonunu 6. sırada tamamlayan Hatayspor, aynı sezonda gol kralı çıkararak dikkat çekici bir başarıya imza atmıştır. Bu durum, lig tarihinde nadir görülen örneklerden biridir.
