Sinopsis (ENG):
Belgian actress Bérangère McNeese tells a story about sisterhood, solidarity, emancipation and freedom in her directorial debut. 16 year - old Héloïse is caught red handed and chased by a security guard in a shopping mall. Hand held camera follows her. Mallorie comes to her aid by pretending that the guard hit her and that she is pregnant, allowing her to escape. Later, at nightfall, Mallorie finds Héloïse lying on a bench and takes her home. Héloïse finds herself squatting in a housing project apartment on the 8th floor, where two other young women, Mona and Jenna, and a baby also live… These young women are filled with anger towards the world which deprived them of a comfortable, wealthy life, and objectified their bodies. They are also filled with hopes and dreams… The “sky” in the French title of the film is engraved in the lift next to the 8th-floor button. It refers to the height but also symbolizes heaven. Those young women who try to find their places in society and be independent, live in solidarity based on simple rules: Don't bring trouble home, share the money you make, and most importantly, never lie. However the rules are made to be broken and the secrets are revealed one by one through out the film.
