Aspendos Antik Tiyatro
Aspendos Roma Tiyatrosu, Türkiye'deki Aspendos antik kentinde bulunan bir Roma tiyatrosudur. 2. yüzyılda inşa edilmiş olup Yunan-Romen dünyasının en iyi korunmuş antik tiyatrolarından biridir. Aspendos'un en önemli yapısı, antik tiyatrosudur. Antik dönem tiyatroları arasında en iyi şekilde korunmuş olan bu açık hava tiyatrosu, Roma dönemi Anadolu'sunun sahnesiyle günümüze ulaşabilen en eski ve sağlam örneklerinden biridir. Tiyatronun mimarı, Aspendoslu Theodorus'un oğlu Zenon'dur. Yapımına Antonius Pius döneminde başlanmış ve Marcus Aurelius döneminde tamamlanmıştır (138-164). Tiyatro, kentin yerli tanrıları ve imparator ailesine ithaf edilmiştir. Her yıl binlerce yerli ve yabancı turist Aspendos'u ziyaret etmektedir. Antik tiyatro, aynı zamanda konserler ve etkinlikler için de kullanılmaktadır.
