Festival Opening Concert - Turkish State Choir - Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir
In the opening concert of World Symposium on Choral Music 2023, The Bridges, world renowned Turkish State Choir and two times Grammy-winner for the “Best Choral Performance” Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir will meet the audience. Within the Symposium theme “Changing Horizons” two choirs will present their traditional choral works as well as the changing perspectives in the choral music world.
Turkish State Choir, one of Turkey's leading professional ensembles since it was founded in 1988, will perform the works of various composers from Turkey and Norway conducted by Norwegian guest composer Ragnar Rasmussen.
Established in 1981, the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir will perform the works of prominent Estonian composers Veljo Tormis and Cyrillus Kreek with their founding conductor, Tõnu Kaljuste.
