Japanese metal sensation BABYMETAL will take the stage at Lifepark Istanbul on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, presented by Neo Events. Blending the raw power of metal with high-energy choreography and a flawless stage production, the group promises an epic night under the stars of Istanbul.
Born in Japan, BABYMETAL shattered every cliché by fusing the infectious energy of J-pop with thunderous metal riffs. The band features SU-METAL on lead vocals, with MOAMETAL and MOMOMETAL bringing “scream & dance” power to the stage. Their self-titled debut album Babymetal (2014) and viral hit “Gimme Chocolate!!” catapulted them to global fame. That same year, they sold out the legendary Budokan Arena, becoming the youngest group ever to do so, and later made history in 2016 by selling out Wembley Arena, marking the first time a Japanese metal act headlined there.
With a triumphant Wembley performance, a breakthrough appearance at Glastonbury, and a sold-out U.S. arena show at The Forum in Los Angeles, BABYMETAL solidified their global domination. Their album METAL GALAXY reached #3 on the Billboard 200 and made history as the first Asian artist to top the Billboard Top Rock Albums chart. Following their monumental 10-show Budokan series in 2021 and the 2023 concept album THE OTHER ONE, the group expanded their world presence with tours across Europe (supporting Sabaton) and in Asia and Australia.
BABYMETAL’s success goes beyond music — they’ve become a cultural bridge. Their genre-bending collaborations with Alex Terrible (Slaughter to Prevail), Electric Callboy on the dance-metal hit “RATATATA”, and DragonForce on stage have cemented their reputation as boundary-defying icons.
Now, they’re bringing that same unstoppable force to Lifepark Istanbul, with a massive stage production and a high-octane setlist.
Gates open at 17:00.
An opening act (to be announced soon) will perform at 19:00, followed by BABYMETAL taking the stage at 21:00.
