Following the first gathering on June 22 at Bonus Parkorman, the series continues with a powerful lineup: the soul-stirring voice of Michael Kiwanuka, Pitchfork’s Best New Music featured artist Nilüfer Yanya, and Alicia with her debut album Radyo Neptün, a nostalgic reimagining of ten iconic Turkish songs.
A Grammy and Brit nominee and Mercury Prize winner, Michael Kiwanuka redefines depth in music with Small Changes, his latest album after a five-year hiatus. Since his breakthrough with Home Again in 2012 and his Mercury-winning KIWANUKA in 2020, he has firmly established himself as one of the most compelling voices in modern soul.
Born to Turkish, Irish, and Barbadian heritage, Nilüfer Yanya brings a rich blend of cultures into her music. Her 2024 release My Method Actor weaves soul, indie rock, and electronic textures into a multilayered sonic journey, earning her a spot on Pitchfork’s Best New Music list.
Alicia, whose path spans from Montreal to Istanbul, builds a poetic sound world shaped by theater, cinema, memory, and music. Her work explores themes of belonging, transformation, and sensory perception through a deeply expressive, interdisciplinary language.
