Mehmet Polat Quartet Konseri

Virtüöz ud sanatçısı ve besteci Mehmet Polat, son projesi Mehmet Polat Quartet ile 23. Gümüşlük Müzik Festivali kapsamında sahne alıyor.

Caz ve dünya müziği sahnesinden Franz von Chossy (piyano), Francesco Parsi (davul) ve Daniel van Huffelen’i (kontrbas) bir araya getiren Polat, ud ve besteleriyle topluluğa liderlik ediyor.

Proje, Polat’ın farklı müzik gelenekleri arasında kurduğu ifade alanını odağa alıyor. Dörtlü, caz ve küresel müzik dillerini bir araya getirerek besteler üzerinden gelişen, açık yapılı ve etkileşime dayalı bir müzikal yaklaşım sunuyor.

Bas ve davulun oluşturduğu ritmik zemin üzerinde ud ve piyano arasında gelişen diyalog, her müzisyenin bireysel ifadesine alan açan kolektif bir ses dünyası oluşturuyor.

Virtuoso oud player and composer Mehmet Polat performs at the 23rd Gümüşlük Music Festival with his latest project, the Mehmet Polat Quartet.

Bringing together pianist Franz von Chossy, drummer Francesco Parsi, and double bassist Daniel van Huffelen from the jazz and world music scenes, Polat leads the ensemble on oud and through his original compositions.

The project focuses on Polat’s ongoing exploration of musical expression across different traditions. The quartet combines elements of jazz and global music languages through a flexible, open-form approach centred on composition and interaction.

Over a strong rhythmic foundation shaped by bass and drums, a dynamic dialogue develops between oud and piano, allowing space for each musician’s individual voice within a collective musical identity.
