Ankara Caz Festivali’nde her zaman yeni seslerin maceralarına birlikte tanık oluyoruz. Raquel Kurpershoek kendini şanslı hissediyor ve bunu son albümü Bienaventurada'yı dinlerken duyabilirsiniz. İspanyol-Hollandalı şarkıcı, Meksikalı şair Amado Nervo'nun içsel şiirlerinden ilham alan bu yeni projesiyle müzikal bir yolculuğa çıkıyor. İspanyol çocukluğundan gelen flamenko etkileri hiç kaybolmuyor. Kendi bestelerinde bunları okyanusun ötesinden gelen seslerle harmanlıyor. İlk albümü Nizami'nin başarısının ardından, Princess Christina Jazz Competition'ın galibi uluslararası sahnede büyük adımlar atıyor.
Dörtlü (perküsyonda Danny Rombout, piyanoda Fran Rodríguez ve kontrbasta Mauro Méndez) kıtalar, kültürler ve duygular arasında köprü kuran samimi ama güçlü bir ses manzarası sunuyor.

Raquel Kurpershoek feels blessed. And you can hear that in her latest album Bienaventurada. The Spanish – Dutch singer embarks on a musical journey with this new project, inspired by the introspective poetry of Mexican poet Amado Nervo. We would like to extend our thanks to the Embassy of the Netherlands for their concert support and Last Penny for their venue support.
The flamenco influences from her Spanish childhood are never far away. She blends them in her own compositions with sounds from across the ocean. After the success of her debut album Nizami, the winner of the Princess Christina Jazz Competition is making strong international strides.
Together with her quartet (Danny Rombout on percussion, Fran Rodríguez on piano, and Mauro Méndez on double bass), she brings an intimate yet powerful soundscape that bridges continents, cultures, and emotions.
