We are returning to Atatürk Cultural Centre after a long while. Our hearts filled with excitement for the days when the culture centre will be packed with art enthusiasts, we are raising the curtain with Sinan, which deals with the source of pride from our shared past, the Great Architect Sinan, and came into being thanks to the commission of our respectable President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Sinan opera, whose world premiere will take place on October 29, will be meeting art enthusiasts on October 30.

The art piece’s libretto was written by Bertan Rona, and he was inspired by Halit Refiğ’s “Koca Sinan” in the meantime. The opera’s musical composition belongs to Hasan Uçarsu, one of the most prominent composers of our country. The team of creators who were involved in the opera include Güray Aykal, one of the most outstanding conductors in our country; the Italian stage manager Vincenzo Grisostomi Travaglini, who is a fan of Türkiye; the director’s consultant Ravivaddhana Monipong Sisowath; the lighting designer Giovanni Pirandello, who has put his signature under some highly successful lighting designs in Türkiye; Serdar Başbuğ, who has put his signature under the costume designs of numerous works in Türkiye, and finally the décor designer Zeki Sarayoğlu.
