Ferenc Molnar
Who is Ferenc Molnar?
Biographyİlk öyküleri 19 yaşındayken yayımlanan Macar oyun yazarı ve öykücü Molnár, 1907’de Az ördög (Şeytan) adlı oyunuyla tanındı. Hukuk öğrenimi gördü ama gazeteciliğe geçerek Birinci Dünya Savaşı’nda savaş muhabirliği yaptı. Pek çok oyunu Avusturya, Almanya, ABD gibi yabancı ülkelerde oynanıp sevilen Molnár, yoksulların sorunlarını duygusal bir tonda işlediği, her biri başyapıt niteliğinde öyküler de yazdı. Öte yandan, çok sayıda romanı olmasına karşın sadece başyapıtı sayılan A Pál utcai fíuk (1907; Pal Sokağı Çocukları) başarılı oldu ve Molnár bütün dünyada bu romanla tanındı.
