Biography1986 yılında Marmara Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi Resim Bölümü'nden mezun oldu. Kariyeri boyunca çeşitli tiyatro oyunları, dizi ve filmlerde rol aldı.
Selahattin Taşdöğen aynı zamanda öğretmendir. Dokuz yılı aşkın bir süre çeşitli okullarda resim-iş, sanat tarihi ve turizm öğretmenliği yaptı. Sanatçının görev aldığı tiyatrolar; Bakırköy Komedi Tiyatrosu, İstanbul Tiyatrosu, Ercan Yazgan Tiyatrosu, Kenan Büke Tiyatrosu, İstanbul Belediyesi Şehir Tiyatroları, Levent Kırca-Oya Başar Tiyatrosu, Yasemin Yalçın Tiyatrosu.
Kardeşleri Erkan Taşdöğen ve Naci Taşdöğen de kendisi gibi oyunculuk yapmaktadır.
Seslendirme sanatçısı Selay Taşdöğen'in babasıdır.
