        Who is Zeynep Avcı?

        Biography

        Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi'nde İdari Bilimler ve İstanbul Üniversitesi'nde Sosyoloji Bölümü'nde okudu. 1966-1975 yılları arasında Cumhuriyet, Yeni İstanbul, Hürriyet, Kelebek, Milliyet gazetelerinde, Sipa Press (Paris) ajansında, muhabirlik, röportaj yazarlığı, dış haberler ve magazin servisi şefliği, yazı işleri müdürlüğü görevlerinde çalıştı. YAZKO yayınlarında Yazko Edebiyat ve Somut dergilerinde görev aldı. Yayıncılık yaşamında son olarak Tarih Vakfı İstanbul Dergisi'nin yayın yönetmenliğini üstlendi. 2000 yılından beri İstanbul Bilgi Üniversitesi'nde görev yapmaktadır.
