Tayfun (45) is a Turkish undertaker living in Belgium, he loves his job and approaches it with charm, humor and a lot of energy. Numeorous of Turks in the community use his funeral services – sometimes to organize burials in Belgium, and more often to send the deceased to their native Turkey. Torn between his native Turkey and Belgium where he has built a new life, Tayfun reflects on the connection to his roots, while also showing the peculiarities of organizing the work of this unique profession. A documentary film by director Volkan Üce focused on the charismatic undertaker Tayfun Arslan premiered at the International Rotterdam Film Festival.
