        Written and directed by François Ozon, Été 85 tells the story of Alexis, a 16-year-old girl struggling with growing up in a seaside town in Normandy, whose life changes after she meets David.

        In the summer of 1985, Alex is capsized off the coast of Normandy when David heroically rescues him. Meeting at the craziest time of their lives, the two teenagers become best friends. Alex has found the friend of his dreams, but this friendship brings him complicated feelings.
