Director: Spike Jonze
ABOUT
Her
Directed by Spike Jonze, director of Being John Malkovich and Adaptation, Her centers on Theodore, a heartbroken writer coming out of a long relationship, and his unconventional relationship with an operating system designed to meet all the needs of its users.
Set in the near future in Los Angeles, "Her" tells the story of Theodore (Joaquin Phoenix), a complicated romantic who makes a living writing emotional and personal letters for others. Heartbroken after a long relationship, Theodore is intrigued by a new advanced operating system that promises a unique presence that is intuitive and has its own truths. As he installs it, he is delighted to meet "Samantha" (Scarlett Johansson), an insightful, sensitive and surprisingly funny female voice of flamboyance. As Samantha's needs and wants grow alongside Theodore's, their friendship deepens into a mutual love.
