LifeLike focuses on the life of a family struggling with their son’s terminal illness. Living on the 20th floor of an apartment complex in Bursa, the family begins to fall apart from the inside out as death draws ever closer. Nineteen-year-old İzzet, suffering from an advanced-stage illness, finds an escape from reality in the virtual world; his mother, Reyhan, becomes active on social media in the hope of saving her son and seeks a cure by pursuing a plant she believes to be miraculous. Father Abdi, however, chooses a different path; he pins his hopes on a spiritual mentor. Everything reaches a breaking point when İzzet invites a girl he met in the virtual world to their home. The expected connection fails to form; fantasy collides with reality and shatters, and İzzet attempts suicide. This incident pushes the family’s already strained bonds to the brink of complete rupture. Abdi sets out on a journey, taking his son along, in a car he has effectively transformed into a “scenic room.” What initially seems like a farewell journey becomes the catalyst for the first genuine bond between father and son. Meanwhile, as Reyhan tries to fill the void left at home with the help of neighbors, a spark of hope reignites within Abdi.
