When The Walnut Leaves Turn Yellow

14th INTERNATIONAL GOLDEN SCALE FEATURE FILM COMPETITION

*Kurdish; Turkish and English Subtitles

*Mehmet Ali Konar once again demonstrates his capacity to gently and emotionally reflect on grave political problems that never fall of the agenda in Turkiye, through the eyes of innocent children. Just like his Colorless Dream, he adapts his characters’ perception of time to the film’s pace. Set in the Kurdish region of Turkey troubled with bans, disappearances and other worries, the film follows a terminally ill father as he tries to pass all his knowledge to his teenage son while struggling inside a political conflict, torn between sides.
