        Aamir Khan'ın yapımcılığını yapıp başrolünde yer aldığı Dangal, eski bir güreşçi olan Mahavir Singh Phogat ile türlü zorluklara rağmen güreş eğitimi verdiği kızlarının hikâyesini anlatıyor.

        2010 Olimpiyat Oyunları… Hindistan, tarihi boyunca güreş dalında hiç altın madalya kazanmamıştı. O yıl yarışa 22 yaşındaki Geeta Phogat katıldı. Olimpiyatlara Hindistan'ı temsilen katılan ilk kadın güreşçi olan Geeta, aslında hiç "profesyonel" güreş eğitimi almamıştı. Onu, genç yaştan itibaren kendisi de güreşçi olan babası yetiştirmişti. Ama Geeta, tüm engelleri aşarak Hindistan'a güreş dalında altın madalya getiren ilk sporcusu olmayı başararak tarihe geçti. 2014 yılında yapılan bir sonraki Olimpiyat oyunlarında ise Geeta'nın kız kardeşi Babita Kumari, ülkeye bir altın madalya daha kazandırdı.
