Dune: Part Three

The film tells the story of Paul Atreides, who has been proclaimed Emperor, as he consolidates his absolute rule over the universe while facing the devastation wrought by the holy war launched in his name and a large-scale conspiracy plotted against him.

Seventeen years have passed since Paul Atreides became the ruler of the universe, but the religious war that spread across the galaxy in his name has led to the deaths of billions of people. While Paul strives to prevent the catastrophes he foresees through his prescience, he also battles a dangerous alliance formed by power centers such as the Bene Gesserit, the Guild, and the Tleilaxu to undermine his rule. The resurrection of his loyal warrior, Duncan Idaho, as a “ghola,” and the tragic impasses in his relationship with Chani leave Paul facing the heavy price of being a Messiah. Having become a prisoner of his own legend, Paul embarks on a dark journey that will determine his fate—a journey to both protect the future of his dynasty and save humanity from the religious fanaticism he himself has created.
