L'été de Jahia / Summer of Jahia

Olivier Meys | France, Luxembourg, Belgium | 2025 | 91' | 10+ | French

Jahia, 15, has fled the war-torn Sahel with her mother. Determined and nervous, she manages their daily life with the seriousness of an adult. Mila has left Belarus with her family. Curious and insatiable, Mila lives each day as a blissful escape. That summer, beyond their differences, their loneliness intersects. A rare and intense friendship is born between them, one that seems inevitable in this uncertain world.
