Gugu is 11 years old and dreams of becoming a soccer player. He lives under the loving, open-minded care of his grandmother Dilma, whose warmth gives him space to be himself. He lost his mother as a small boy and his father started a new family, but he shares a strong and unbreakable bond with Dilma. When he notices that his grandmother is starting to have memory problems, Gugu worries about losing the only safe space he’s ever known and tries to keep their world intact.
