Wild Diamond

THE SCALE OF JUSTICE

*French; Turkish and English Subtitles

*Agathe Riedinger obtained the achievement to compete for the Golden Palm at the Cannes Film Festival this year with her debut film. Wild Diamond is a social commentary about a poor and uneducated young woman who invests on her sole asset —her body— to earn money. Malou Khebizi, discovered at the audition gives a stellar performance. Liane, intentionally turns herself into an object of desire to become an influencer at the social media. Her goal is to become a reality TV celebrity in a consumerist society that values women only physically. It is as if the generation Alpha interprets Milan Kundera’s novel Immortality and the concept of imagology without ever reading it.
