Heidi, an 8-year-old girl living in the Swiss Alps with her grandfather, finds a mountain cat kitten caught in a trap in the forest one day. As she secretly tries to heal the kitten, which she names "Pepper", she also learns about the anti-nature plans of an ambitious man who threatens the forest. Together with her best friend Peter and their faithful dog Joseph, Heidi embarks on a daring journey in a race against time to reunite Pepper with her family and save nature.
