Almanya’dan gelip Türkiye’nin kuzeydoğusunda ücra bir köyde çekim yapan bir film ekibi, yaşlı bir Kürt kadınla röportaj yapar. Kadın, yıllar önce kaybettiği oğlunun anısını canlı tutabilmek için kadim bir ritüel yürütmektedir. Alman ekibe Kürtçe çeviride yardımcı olan genç kadın, yedi yaşındaki Melek’in de bakıcısıdır. Melek’in babası Zafer, asıl amacı belirsiz, karanlık bir örgüte mensuptur. Gizemli bir varlık Melek’e musallat olduğunda Zafer örgüte sadakatiyle ailesinin esenliği arasında kalakalır. Tüm bu kişilerin bir araya gelişlerinin sonucu yıkıcı olacaktır.
Kör Noktada, bu yıl Ayşe Polat’a Uçan Süpürge Vakfı tarafından Bilge Olgaç Başarı Ödülü verilmesi vesilesiyle gösteriliyor.

A film crew from Germany, filming in a remote village in northeastern Turkey, interviews an old Kurdish woman. The woman carries out an ancient ritual to keep the memory of her son alive, whom she lost years ago. The young woman who helps the German team with the Kurdish translation is also the caregiver of seven-year-old Melek. Melek's father, Zafer, belongs to a shadowy organization whose real purpose is unclear. When a mysterious entity haunts Melek, Zafer is torn between his loyalty to the organization and the well-being of his family. The result of all these people coming together will be devastating.
This year, In the Blind Spot is showcased in celebration of Ayşe Polat’s receipt of the Bilge Olgaç Achievement Award from the Flying Broom Foundation.
