It is said that Duchess Elisabeth of Bavaria's waist size remained only 45 cm for years. But Empress Elisabeth of Austria, also known as Sisi, was suffocated and suffocated not only because of such thin custom-made corsets, but also because of the silent and dysfunctional trinket role assigned to her in the palace in Vienna. The Corsage, which had its world premiere in the Un Certain Regard section at Cannes in 2022, takes Elisabeth's 40th birthday celebrations as a turning point and reveals the rebellion of a woman hungry for knowledge and life who finally intends to break her chains. Vicky Krieps' flawless portrayal of the fragile yet fierce, delicate yet fierce Empress won her an award at Cannes. Korsaj was Austria's Oscar nominee. Director Marie Kreutzer's Der Boden unter den Füssen / Slippery Ground, which also centers on a woman under pressure, was screened at the Istanbul Film Festival in 2019.
