The Myth of Marakuda

The son of Chief Marakud should have been a true warrior, but he disappoints his father because he knows nothing about hunting. Marakuda goes into the forest alone and finds the sacred bird Tink, who gives him the ability to understand the language of animals and birds. Marakuda and Tink return home honored. The boy does not know that according to tradition, the sacred bird must be sacrificed for the welfare of the tribe.
