Mamifera

THE SCALE OF JUSTICE

*Catalan, Spanish; Turkish and English Subtitles

*To be or not to be a mother, that is the question… Liliana Torres describes the emotional confusion created by 40-year-old art professor Lola’s unexpected pregnancy, despite being in a happy relationship with her boyfriend. Mamifera is based on stable and empathetic Lola’s experiences with her family and friends during the process of decision. The film that invalidates the patriarchal formula of happiness imposed by the society, is further enriched with animated dream sequences inspired by the collages Lola makes.
