Hold Onto Me

11-year-old Iris learns that her estranged father is back in town and goes to meet him, only to be met by his indifference and coldness. As she persists in her attempts to get closer to him, her stubborn persistence slowly unfolds into a fragile bond between daughter and father. The debut feature film by Myrsini Aristidou is a tender drama that explores the delicate dynamic between a child and an absent parent, depicting the emotional process of their reconciliation. It was the first Cypriot film ever to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, where it won the Audience Award for Best Film.
